[Faith is folding some fabric for Crow's bed (she can't help it, it's so cute!) when Kate comes in, so it takes her a second to process it all, and then another few for her to figure out what Kate's talking about. Faith does get there, though, and then she widens her eyes and says, almost awed,] Ooh. I heard about that from this girl, Miriam. Sounds like it went bad.
[Then she frowns.] What was it you all were tryin' to do?
( why do they have a Crow why does she not know anything about them having a Crow WHY DOES A CROW NEED A BED. so many questions. none of which are relevant at this point in time so let's move on. )
Aye.
( and, after a moment; ) You know that weird chunk of city over th' river?
( the one where all the sirens go off. ) That's all we got for it.
( Kate shrugs one shoulder, head tilted to the side. it seems casual enough, but that tension doesn't just ease out of your body because you manage a casual shrug. )
Besides that part of th' city we can't get rid of.
Every bad thing leaves scars behind. [The statement is soft, said with a small smile. Faith holds that for a moment, then shrugs.] Reminds you it happened and that you're better now.
